Live Band on the Lawn: MYOA Band

Fronted by visionary singer-songwriter Mayowa (Yoruba for “God brings joy”), The MYOA Band is a genre-blending collective whose story spans three continents. What began on the sun-kissed shores of West Africa traveled through the vibrant studios of London and now pulses from the multicultural heart of Houston, Texas.

‍

Guided by MYOA’s belief that she was “created to inspire, reveal truth, and spark joy,” the group fuses Afro-roots rhythm, smooth soul, and pop sensibility into an unmistakable sound. Onstage, Mayowa’s soaring vocals meet the band’s intuitive grooves, transforming every set into an intimate, uplifting experience.

‍

The MYOA Band stands firmly on its own as a musical creativity: a tight-knit ensemble committed to hope, resilience, and cross-cultural celebration.
