Celebrate Filipino American History Month, dedicated to culture, community, and connection at POST Houston!

Step into a bustling market filled with Filipino flavors, handmade goods, and unique finds, then stay for a full schedule of live music, cultural dance, and engaging performances.

From high-energy Zumba and line dancing to powerful vocalists, traditional tinikling, and breakdance showcases, DJs, a Filipino band- 6ix Elements, and Bay Area rapper- NUMP. The day will be packed with opportunities to watch, move, and celebrate together.

“I’m So Filipino” – Featuring NUMP (@nump_got_necks)

Bay Area rapper NUMP celebrated for his collaborations with E-40, Paul Wall, and Baby Bash. NUMP will be performing a special showcase of Filipino pride. His hit single “Halo-Halo” with Baby Bash, filmed in Houston and produced by the city’s own Bruce Bang (@imixbrucebang), highlights the strong ties between the Bay Area and Houston music scenes.

This performance is also a heartfelt tribute to the late Houston producer Melvin Villanueva (@youngmelvin), presented in partnership with Pier 8 Restaurant (@pier8seafoodmarket). He will be joined by Angelica, Vocalist Artist (Melvin Villanueva's girlfriend) on “I’m So Filipino”.

FILIPINO AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH (FAHM)- October celebrates the rich history and contributions of Filipino Americans to the United States and was started by the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) in 1992. In 2009, the U.S. Congress officially declared October as Filipino American History Month.
