Women in the Visual and Literary Arts (WiVLA) present their 2023 art exhibition Expansion. Since 1994, WiVLA has provided a forum where visual artists, writers, and other creatives can meet in an atmosphere of support and mutual respect. Throughout its 29 years, WiVLA has encouraged development, opportunities for expression, and the connection to the larger Houston community of the arts.
This biennial event is usually open to WiVLA members only, but this year WiVLA is pleased to present the artwork from their members and creative women in the Greater Houston Area.
During the reception on September 6, the exhibition juror Elena Poirot will provide remarks about the event and her selections. The public is invited to attend the reception, but we ask that you RSVP on WiVLA's website.

Each month, dynamic speakers give informative and inspiring presentations. We invite you to join us, whether you are on your way to becoming the writer or artist you want to be or are already a seasoned professional. Also, the group schedules workshops, studio and other tours, collaborative exhibitions, and literary readings throughout the year.
WIVLA holds monthly online meetings. Please check the calendar for the dates and information regarding in-person outings and events.
