POST and the Chess Refinery are proud to present Space City Open, a three day inaugural chess competition with the goal of making chess more accessible and fun to all Houstonians.

Enter into the competition to test your skills and play five rounds against other chess masters. Two Grandmasters will be playing! Cash prize of $3500 based on fully paid entries to be won.

This one day kids only section of the competition allows for budding minds to engage in the joys of chess. Trophies and medals to be awarded.
