CRIS CROCHEMORE BAND

Houston-based guitarist and vocalist originally from Porto Alegre, Brazil, blending classic rock with authentic blues. Cris and his band represented Houston at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis and took top honors at the 2025 Houston Blues Challenge.

JONN DEL TORO RICHARDSON with guests LEONARD "LOWDOWN" BROWN and TRUDY LYNN

Houston-born guitarist and vocalist whose sound carries the Latin, country, R&B, and blues influences of his upbringing. Winner of the Albert King Award for Most Promising Guitarist at the 2005 International Blues Challenge, he's performed alongside Otis Taylor and appeared on Pinetop Perkins' Grammy-winning record.

Leonard "Lowdown" Brown: A 40+ year fixture of Houston's blues scene, Leonard earned his nickname from organizers of the 1988 Benson & Hedges Houston Blues Festival. He's opened for Sister Sledge, ZZ Hill, Johnny Taylor, and Bobby Bland, and released his debut album at age 70 via Music Maker Foundation.

Trudy Lynn: A Houston native and Fifth Ward original, Trudy has been a fixture of the city's blues and soul scene since the 1960s, opening for Ike & Tina Turner early in her career. She's a 13-time Blues Music Award nominee and Houston Music Hall of Fame inductee.

Home | Mathias Lattin and guests

At just 20 years old, Mathias won both Best Band and Best Guitarist at the 2023 International Blues Challenge — the youngest artist ever to take both titles. Grandson of NBA Hall of Famer David "Big Daddy" Lattin, he's shared stages with Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, Eric Gales, and Buddy Guy.
