From supporting Fred again.. across the globe to appearing as special guests at Sydney Opera House, Junction 2, All Points East, Glastonbury and a headline Roundhouse show, they’ve played some of the world’s most special stages. In 2021 the duo released their debut album, Human Again, a collection of expressive songwriting that documented that time of lockdown. Then came 2023’s Cult Classics, which followed the pace of a night out, from euphoric house and disco to a gentler winding down, but with serotonin at its core. Their communal spirit is baked into the title of their latest record, Joyous People – the culmination of the friendships they’ve built, from Skrillex to Jungle and Ezra Collective, and a testament to the best parties they’ve thrown.

Occupying an undefined space, as more than a band and more than DJs, Joy (Anonymous) are breaking the mold: They’re a middle point between things sounding electronic, acoustic, ambient and even classical. Joy (Anonymous) is all about the idea that music has the power to transform, uplift and heal – and they’ve proved that theory time and time again with the strong community they’ve made.
