Join us for an exciting two-day immersive audio workshop designed for musicians and sound designers eager to explore the world of spatial audio with Ableton Live!
This course will introduce you to the essential hardware and software tools needed to start creating immersive audio systems. You'll learn how to design various spatial audio setups and see live demos of software tools driving multi-channel output. Beyond the technical basics, we'll dive into spatial audio mixing and compositional techniques, primarily using Ableton Live, with concepts applicable to other DAWs.
After the course, participants will have the opportunity to present their work at an exhibition inside ÅRT ĈLUB on September 7!
The workshop is led by Kyle Evans, Managing Director at dadageek, Professor of Immersive Media at the University of Texas, and Artistic Director of the spatial sound collective Rolling Ryot. His experience bridges creative practice and technical expertise, making this a valuable opportunity for anyone looking to elevate their audio production skills.
This course will meet two times over the course of the weekend. The class is capped at 22 students, so you will have plenty of opportunities to connect with your instructor and ask questions. Your fellow students in the class will be an eclectic mix of artists, musicians, programmers, and creative humans excited to learn, create, and connect!
