Ben Runkle and Bryan Butler met over a mutual love for high quality meat and sustainable agriculture. They opened the original Salt & Time in east Austin in 2013. Butler has been named the Best Butcher in Texas by the Texas Beef Council and is one of seven members of the U.S. Team to the World Butcher's Challenge.
